The YWCA of Greater Lawrence – A Voice for Women & Girls
  • The YWCA inspires confidence in women

  • The YWCA is a place to turn for so many women and their families who need a helping hand.

  • The YWCA encourages girls of all ages to explore their interests, try new activities, strengthen their creative abilities and academic performance.

  • The YWCA serves children ages 1 month to 12 years in numerous age-appropriate programs in our Early Learning Center.

  • YWCA Camp Y-Wood offers kids 5 - 14 lots of summer fun!

The YWCA of Greater Lawrence was founded in 1892 to provide safe housing, job training and support to women moving from rural communities and overseas to work in area mills and shops. Today, we serve more than 15,000 women, children and families from throughout the Merrimack Valley and Essex County every year. We are an affiliate of the YWCA USA, the nation’s oldest and largest multicultural women’s organization working for social and economic change.

The YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
